Seattle, Wash. — March 23, 2009 — Daptiv, the on-demand leader in collaborative business software, today announced the launch of Daptiv PPM Spring ’09, highlighted by significant enhancements to its Gantt capabilities. Daptiv is also announcing that it has received ISO 27001:2005 certification, an internationally recognized information security standard that very few SaaS companies have been awarded.

In line with Daptiv’s mission of enabling companies and teams to better manage work, Gantt charts enable managers and team members to plan, control and track work to get it done on time and under budget. Daptiv launched the first online Gantt chart for project and portfolio management in 2002, and is releasing a better, faster and more intuitive Gantt chart with the Spring ’09 edition. The new Daptiv PPM Gantt chart adds additional features to make it easier for project managers to create and manage schedules, including:

• The new Gantt chart is faster and handles more tasks
  
  
• The updated UI includes a canvas that lets users “paint” new tasks, change/move tasks and create dependencies via click-and-drag and drag-and-drop resources to assign tasks
  
  
• New pre-defined and text-entry filters make it easier to work with large project schedules
  
  
• A new Resource Utilization Details window lets users see daily utilization of all project resources, and make assignment decisions based on their availability over time
  
  
• Copy and paste tasks within a schedule (preserving dependencies) lets users build out project schedules more quickly
  
  

In attaining the ISO 27001:2005 certification, Daptiv has undergone a significant security audit process and meets the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) requirements for operating an Information Security Management System (ISMS). An ISMS is the complete set of management practices and processes that work together to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data. The certification is further acknowledgement of Daptiv’s commitment and ability to protect its customers’ data, and the general security and reliability of the Software-as-a-Service model.
